Hot-Wire Measurements in Clouds

The behavior of a hot-wire anemometer (HWA) in a two-phase flow is investigated. Measurements in a small wind tunnel are performed to analyze the response of the HWA to droplet impaction. A de-spiking filter algorithm was tested to remove the strikes in the HWA signal. More details about the setup and the measurements can be found in a Manuscript submitted to J. Atmos. Ocean. Technol.
